On the occasion of World Vision Day, Rising Star Khilte Chehre, a social arm of Rising Star Tours and Travels, took another step towards their mission of social inclusion of the disabled and visually impaired. They gave the experience of vision and sight to some children from NAB, Delhi and took them for a cultural and heritage walk in the streets of Delhi. The walk was accompanied by the students walking in the streets of Old Delhi, revisiting the cultural richness that our roots hold from the era of Mughal Dynasty and the British era. Places like Town Hall, Katra Neel, Paranthe Wali Gali, Ballimaran, Sisganj Gurudwara and Red Fort were visited during the visit. The students got an opportunity to experience the city as it lives in the heart of its streets. They relished their taste buds with food from the famous 100 year old shops of Paranthe Wali Gali for breakfast and very famous street food and beverages for lunch. The courage and excitement of the students while visiting Sisganj Gurudwara and touching and feeling the walls of Red Fort was beyond words. They were thrilled to experience the busy streets of Old Delhi. The event was supported by Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh and some volunteers from the organization also volunteered at the event. For all the participants the experience was full of thrill, joy and learning and hence, wholesome.
