White Cane Safety Day

White Cane is used to Locate Obstacles in the Way, Making Commute More Comfortable to Visually Impaired. On 15th October Every Year, The World Observes, White Cane Awareness Day, To Raise The Awareness Amongst VIs to Use The White Cane, More Often. Increasing The Usage Of White Cane Will Not Only Help Them, But Also, Will Raise The Questions In Front Of Authorities To Make The Commutation More Disabled Friendly. Rising Star Khilte Chehre, While Raising Awareness In Association With Jawaharlal Nehru University, Organized a White Casne March For The Same. The March Covered the Entire Campus of the university, With everyone Walking With White Canes In Their Hands. The mission was to not just raise awareness regarding its importance among the visually imapired community but also the rest of the mainstream community. Hence, all the sighted individuals in the march also held canes in their hands while walking. The event was based on our core belief that to curate a more accessible world, we need to reduce the difference amongst these two startas of the society and the distance has to be walked from both ends.
