Overcoming Psychological Stress During Self-Quarantine

During the time of this CoronaVirus crisis, many of us have been thinking about when will this all be over and we can get back to our normal lifestyle. People who are Extroverts are having a lot of trouble being quarantined.
Here are some ways to overcome psychological stress:

  • Spending time with family
It is difficult to be at home all day, but at the same time, it is a great opportunity to spend time with your dear ones. Use your time in discussing some important topics with them, playing indoor games, etc.
  • Be Creative
When we are busy with a lot of school/college/office work, we can hardly get time to follow our hobbies, so learn a new skill from online platforms like youtube and increase your creativity level.
  • Be Calm
Staying calm during these times is key to mental health. Stop panicking about the scarcity of Ration or other necessities as a government. has said that important shops like groceries, pharmacies, etc will remain open and there is no need to panic.
  • Don’t believe in rumors
Believing in rumors can really affect your mental health in a negative way. Only trust the information which is released by a certified channel or website.
  • Live for the present
Psychological research consistently reveals that subjective well-being means living in the present.

Yes, these are not the best of times, but a time to reflect on who we are and what is most important in life. Instead of dwelling on what might happen, focus on the present, caring primarily about the here and now and enjoying the moment, irrespective of the virus or what might come next.
